A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME

I am Victoria Ravenscroft and passionate about walking alongside people to help them overcome the challenges that are impacting on their well-being. I have a wealth of experience across a variety of settings. I am a qualified mental health clinician and have worked for the past five years delivering brief intervention and education for people facing a range of personal difficulties in the Central Otago / Central Lakes region through their doctor. I am an eclectic practitioner, and this means I am trained and practiced in a wide range of modalities. During my working career I have gained significant experience across primary and community mental health/addiction sectors.

QUALIFICATIONS

I have a Master’s Degree in Health Science, Post Graduate Diploma in Health (End Mental Health), and a Bachelor’s Degree in Alcohol and Drug Studies.

 

I am a fully registered AOD Practitioner, Clinical Supervisor and an approved AOD Assessor for Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency.

 

I regularly participate in my own supervision, ongoing training and professional development.

WHAT I OFFER

Individual therapy...

Individual therapy or talking therapy is ideal to help you to work through issues where you have found yourself struggling and needing extra support/help to work through challenges. 

My areas of knowledge and experience: 

  • Individuals struggling with low mood, anxiety and depression

  • Individuals with alcohol abuse / dependency, gambling, and other addictions

  • Individuals with disordered eating 

  • Individuals confronting complex distressing domestic, and family problems. 

  • Grief/ Loss

  • Adjustment/Aging 

  • Individuals who are recovering from psychological, physical or sexual abuse.

 

Supervision...

I am a DAPAANZ accredited supervisor. I offer professional clinical supervision for Alcohol and other Drug Practitioners and mental health professionals. Clinical supervision provides a space to reflect on one’s complex work and to strengthen existing tools whilst developing confidence in applying these. 

 

Drug and Alcohol Assessments...

I am authorised by the Ministry of Health, and Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency to conduct assessments for people who have indefinite driver disqualification under section 65. In addition, assessment for the removal of alcohol interlock devices.

 

EAP Approved Provider...

This service is provided through your employer.

APPOINTMENTS

All enquiries and sessions are confidential (unless there is a safety concern). I offer appointments either in person, zoom, telephone or another internet platform.  

FEES

Fees are payable at the time and may incur a fee if you fail to attend without notification. 

 

  • Individual $140 per session (60 minutes)

  • NZTA Section 65 Assessments are covered by Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency  

  • EAP covered by agency.
